Just curious what type of ammo you are using. It seems pretty good that only 1-2 of 30 pulled so far from the group.
I have been using bulk Federal. It shoots pretty consistent with 10 rd groups, but I have yet to try and put that many through at one time.
I am sure my carbon barrel has a lot to do with it, as it does not heat up as quickly. It seems your groups moved to the left as the barrel heated up?
John,
The Barrel is a 16" 1/12twist HBAR (heavy Profile, but not as big as a bull barrel) and its Chrome lined which helps with longevity and keeping it clean.
The Bolt Carrier is a Spikes Tactical which I have polished(feed ramp, first contact point in the chamber also) to a mirror finish.
The Ammo used in the picture above is Winchester Bulk Pack .22 555rds.
I think its very important for feeding and accuracy to use Copper washed bullets.
In a few weeks(waiting on a new scope) I'll post groups at 100 and 200yards. Its lots of fun to read the wind and try to get POA POI.
Rolo,
Damn. I'm dieing to find somewhere local to me to varmint hunt.
invite sent!
Not much about AR-15's here so add something,
This is a 30rd group at 25yards with an ADCO Barrel AR 16" 1/12twist .22LR upper topped with a 3x cheapo scope.
Rolo,
Is the rabbit hunting in South Florida?
I bought this small plank of Cherry Wood($8 enough for 10 grips) at Pearls Art Supply a few weeks back.
I haven't been sleeping much lately so I decide to get to work the other night.
The barrel is missing because Sig has had it for the past few weeks
(the feed ramp has a dent which they ignored last month when I sent the gun in, so I had to resend on their dime).
Not much to it, just outlined, made cuts with straightedge, knife, Dremel and some sanding.
I'll keep making a few more and tweaking(variety of woods and stains) until I can make them look better.
-What stain/sealer do I use?(Woould like to get the wood almost black with no gloss.)
-Where could I get some more dynamic grain wood in thin sheets such as in the pictures?

This video is fun and creative.
The Guillaume Nery's Base Jump is pure art.
I would love to have the Base Jump video in 1080p to play on loop on the flat screen while not in use. (can't figure out how to rip vid's from youtube)
Also,
William Trubridge freedives THE ARCH at Blue Hole, Dahab
is a great artist view on how far a person could take them self.
Yes I understand there is editing and multiple dives involved in these vid's(who cares). The message they relate, the creativeness/effort involved in there creation is just outstanding.
Late post,
Went out Sunday morning in the 954 area,
Water was clear35'+ and very warm.
Lots of fish around but not much worth shooting.
Got a mutton and a hog.
Then came Mr.BlackTip.
Craziest shark I have ever seen kept attacking my head even after man pokes to the face and side of body. The shark showed up right after I shot the hog and followed me to shore(35min swim). He was 6' long not sure on weight and not good and guessing. Also, one of the times when I couldn't see him he circled around and bite the fish off the float.
other then the countless downfalls already mentioned.
It just seems very dated.
very impressive.

If you didn't get to spear this morning, you missed one of THE best weekend spearin days for our spear zone.
Thanks, just rubbing it why do you.
Had to work today, will be hitting the water tomorrow.
Was looking forward to reading your report today.(hoping for good news)
Really nice pics. Welcome Daniel.
The intros are getting hard to beat
This^
Welcome again.
welcome.
Great first post.
Get well Alan, other then the trigger sounds like a great day.
BAD= FAIL.
The marketing guy must of taken the day off when they came up with that name.
From my search,
They just seem like a riffe copy with an aimrite handle and enclosed track. The prices are cheap, that's great IF they're any good.
reminds me of a high end version of the gun used in that crazy african spearing movie where the guy gets the million pound grouper.
Damn, I love that vid.
Quick search on YouTube on the phone and I couldn't find it.
Very nice.
Come on share the story about the fish...
Those are some nice guns.
