I saw Dan's thread on how a properly tuned flopper should perform. I was wondering what is the method to adjust it, do you take material away from the shaft or do you try to open up the wings on the flopper itself?
Tuning floppers

which thread are you referring to, I don't know if I have seen such a post.
I always adjust my floppers by widening the flopper until it moves easily from gravity (as in, it will hang in whatever position i hold the spear)

I'll post a video of how to tune it when I get a chance.

Still need a guide on this....

With a plier, pinch diagonally the flopper at the pin area. A picture would be easier...

What Marco said,. I pinch the flopper right at the pin with a vice grip.
It works until you get a big fish and comes loose again. I've tuned the same flopper many times.

I use a small hammer to adjust the spot on the opposite side of the pin Marco pointed to. Same effect.
