Hey everybody

  • Hey everybody, I heard about this board and it sounds like a great place to hang out! For those of you that don't know me, I started diving in the end of 05 / start of 06. I fell in love with the sport, and dive as much as time permits, however like everyone else spend quite a bit of time getting things done and not in the water. I have been blessed this year with coming across some great mentors that have taught me a ton, and have been taking me out on a regular basis to continue to try to put me on my first WSB and YT. I am moving to Temecula here in a week, and am always looking for more people to dive with. I can pretty much dive Sunday afternoons, anytime Monday and Tuesday, and Wed mornings. I am always looking for more people to head out with, and always looking to gain knowledge from anyone that's willing to share theirs with me.

Looking forward to reading everyones posts and absorbing some more knowledge. Thanks for telling me about this board fellas!

  • Thanks Don, I am going to head out for a run then to bed, these new work hours are kicking my butt to. Was a blast meeting you and everyone else at OOF, that was one hell of an event. Thanks to the Pistoleros for putting that on. Was a great time.

  • Thanks guys appreciate it. It seems half almost everyone that made posts I actually read is over here.. Hmm..

Im land locked until Tuesday, if anyone else wants to head out then let me know.

  • :bienvenido:

    Feel ya man

After the great grogan spearboard purge a few years ago, I was inactive on the boards, well and insane work, but then I was drawn back to the discussions about the sport and wanted some new gear, since mine was is shambles, Then I hear about Pursuit and I heard there was a place for FreediveSpearfisher and that the reports are private:thumbsup2: that plus the caliber of guys on here, I was sold..

Hope to read some more WSB posts, On the bucket list for sure

    dive safe

  • Right now its set to be Ken Shamrock. However, Rizzo just wrecked Ken's knee so were seeing if Ken is going to show up or not and going from there.

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone. I like it here, I haven't read one post thats full of bs and drama.

  • Hes a tough guy, and can still get the job done. Unfortunatly though, hes kind of like Ken now in the sense that he can't come close to getting it done against the top dogs anymore. The sport has evolved so much in the years its amazing. But some of the greats aren't able to compete like they once were because of it.

  • With all due respect to any fighter, I would agree this is the case with Ken Shamrock and others. In other cases as with all, age does it's thing. There are only so many fights in any fighter, when it comes to top level competition.

  • I think theres more then just age involved.. People like Randy show that every time he fights. It has a lot to do as well with how they adapted to others as they became more well rounded. If you watch some of Randys old fights and how he fights now, its completely different. He evolved with the game.

Age doesn't help though, the older you get the longer it takes to heal, and the harder cardio is to gain. I have a ton of respect for Ken, when I was a kid he was one of my heroes. That's why this is such a neat opportunity for me. Not very often does someone in my field get a chance at a legend, let alone one of their own heroes.
