  • Thank you for keeping us in the loop mate. this sucks and I'm not really into the bug thing, the butter makes me
    fat.:rolleyes1:

  • Don, bugs are so much more than vehicles for butter :D

try this for a good time...take tails and cut them vertically across the hard shell with strong shears...add garlic and a little olive oil to the open cut...place tails on the grill but not directly over the heat with the grill at medium...after 7-8 minutes they should begin to get a little colored...now flip them over the flames and cut side down...there will be a little flare up, it is all good...after two more minutes, remove and check for doneness...should be a tiny bit of black in the shell now....remove meat, break apart and make tacos....i like a vinegary southern cabbage cole slaw on mine with tomatoes and a little lime....almost zero fat and sooo much flavor you'll explode

    i like to spear fish

  • Thanks Lunker Buster,:D:D That is exactly one off the ways I do mine, got it from the Aussies.
When I do eat butter I wash it down with plenty of good Chianti .

    Cheers, Don

  • Forgot to start the thread with a BS fist post....Here is the real report

Sorry for the late report but not too much to talk about. Water was cold and green. Only came across two paddies. One was good size with bait but no shooters. Ran out of Loma to the 302….226….182…north a little more towards the 181…..conditions got good around 1:00pm sun came out and the wind died a little. ……..decided to run in to the loma kelp and throw some fish traps for calico and barracuda…….saved the day…off shore was weak……hopefully it will start before it is over.

  • starting to wonder but at least the near shore stuff is entertaining none the less. at least you're puttin the effort in. thanks for sharing.
