What electronis do you use on your boat or yak

    I figured it is easier to keep threads clean for others to search and find what the yare looking for, so this is a thread for rants and raves about marine electronics for your boat or yak.


    I use the Eagle CUda 250 s/map on my kayak and it is a great economic system for a yak..it really does everything you could want and only lacks a color screen. the monochrome does extend battery life. It does GPS, chart plotting and has a good bottom finder.


    i use a 8amh 12volt solid cell battery and it will run the unit w sonar on all day and still have plenty of power.


    what are you using?

    I have the Raymarine C120 with a 1KW transducer. Personally, I think it is garbage, but it came with the boat and I can't afford to buy a new Furuno unit. It is an all in one and I am not a huge fan of that style. I would rather have different units for each. I don't know why I am so negative, my wife keeps saying how grumpy I am today.
