Hello,
Some pictures of spear guns manufactured in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Constructed of teak and mahogany.
The trigger mechanism I built it too.
sizes are 59 "to reef and 70" blue water with stabilizing wings.
uses up to six rubber bands, and a shooting range about 32 feet

Nice work ayvar. Did you make the handles too? Does the line release reset automatically?

Thank ,
Yes I do , trigger mecanism and handles ,the line release is reset automatically
The ayvar speargun work with american sistem shaft like mori or riffe shaft. -
What system do you use for the auto resetting line release?
-
Using the same system that Alexander or Riffe.
When you fire the trigger releases the line and ready when you load again, everything is synchronized -
-
Thats some monster amberjack, and nice roosterfish!
-
Nice fish ayvar.
I'm not talking about that with regards to the auto reset. Does the line release return to the backward pointing position by itself or do you have to push it manually before you engage the shaft in the mech?
-
Hi Dan,
The line release automatically returns do not have to use your finger to return it.
Just enter the spear in the mechanism, wrap the line and load.

I knew it was a matter of time before the Mexicans started to employ their unbeleivable craftsmanship into speargun making. My wife went to med school in Guadalajara and always bragged about the handmaking skills of the locals. It is truly obvious by the pics attached. Thanks!

Hi Ayvar,
Nice fish!
I see lots of potential in your craftsmanship.
Hope you don't mind a suggestion, but here it is anyway; I would consider recessing the handle in the stock. A bit more work than just slapping it on, but it will give the gun a much sleeker look. It will also prevent the handle from shearing off.
Thanks for sharing.
