Sometimes slowing down the video when editing makes the shaking less evident.

Some digital stabilization can be done with post-processing. You're using a Flip right?

I'm not sure if that is possible with Windows Movie Maker, but I think I an due for a new program anyways. When I use Windows Movie Maker it always seems to screw up the timing of the sound and video.

The second gen flips don't have built in stabilization, it takes practice or a really solid gun mount to avoid it. For some of my videos I've used iMovie's stability feature to improve it somewhat.

Dude, the thought of shooting one of those peacock bass is too much! I've wanted to rod and reel them since I was a kid and now that I spearfish that seems rad!

I believe movie maker has an option under "effects" menu to "slow" or Speed up" video. Its not very sophisticated but might help.
