Yak south of the port today from 930-1230
was pretty choppy I almost didn't go.
went to outside of first and viz was actually pretty decent, 20-25 feet
saw a lot of decent porgies and some okay mangroves and a huge cuda
played around with a couple friendly 12-13" hogs for a while, hoping to see some bog boysEconomy must be turning around; a lot of real geniuses out boating,, a few close calls (with boats) and I came back in early than I intended
-
Thanks for the report dude. I want to get in the water tomorrow.
-
Hit the wrecks in 60-70 ft out of haulover, viz was complete crap, very cold thermocline and 3kt south current
-
Good luck Hardline, id be there if it weren't for work.
I'm thinking about mounting my gopro or at least bringing it from now on, always so many picture prefect moments i hate passing upJapsw sorry about your conditions, definitely the right place, but the wrong time

Anyone looking to go out tomorrow?
-
Went off Lauderdale today for about an hour or so...Viz is shitty out there maybe 10-15ft tops.
-
oh well, hope it clears up again soon. were you on the inside of the first and did the viz get better or worse as you swam out?
-
I was offshore from 6am-3pm and it was rough and not much sunshine, diving didn't look fun, outside the third reef the water was beautiful blue, but inside the third it was nasty
-
Anybody want to boat dive tomorrow? looking for 1-2 people so far its Sdeisen and myself. call/text me 9548038727 sorry for the late notice.

Got out today from 10'-70', viz was great inside 25' even into this afternoon when the storms picked up. In the morning viz was top to bottom @ 40 but diminished. @ 60' we could barely make out the bottom. We hit a wreck in 70' and could see the wreck but the bottom wasn't visible, current here was ridiculus and we spent a good part of the day trying to get the boat stationary up current of the wreck but it won. We looked like salmon trying to swim upstream and there is a video of Steven that will hopefully wind up on the forum. I saw lots of nice fish but my bottom time @ 60 is minimal. My mutton curse continues, but I did a new PB of 62'(on the fish finder) chasing him around the reef.
Another great day on the water with friends
