Hello,
I have a Sporasub Aspic that is missing the whole safety assembly.
Anyone out there have one or maybe know where I can find one.
Thank you,
rudyc

My suggestion is to make sure the safety is not working/can never engage, and epoxy something round on the hole. The only real safety is loose bands, and sometimes not even that.
I agree. Safeties only have cost me fish and given me aggravation by not accepting shafts.
Find something to glue/epoxie in the hole to prevent any future blockage,, I use a gun exactly like that for many years.;)
Safety's only purpose is to be engaged when you are ready to shoot the fish of your life.
The former owner did you a favor. Removing the safety is the very first mod I always do to all my spearguns.
If there's no risk for it to engage accidentaly, leave it that way!
RUDYC sin la pieza de blocaje no se pone el seguro, necesitaras un boton de nacar pegado con locite o expoxy, asi taparas el agujero hara mas bonito, ¿cuantas veces lo has usado el seguro? nunca
<º))))><
Without the locking piece does not get insurance, you need a pearl buttons or expoxy Locite stuck with, so the hole gourds will make it nice, how many times have you used the insurance? ever
hit a button will favor more plugging the hole.
Thanks to all that have replied. The fella that sold me the gun has said the same thing as the replies on this forum. I just figured it would be nice to have the gun complete. I will find and fit a plug and be done with it.
I too believe the best safety is muzzle control.
Thanks,
rudyc
Wow, a thread where we all agree on something. Is this the end of the world?
"Always handle a gun as if it is loaded and ready to be shot"

No ..... I am the only one that uses one on on all my guns, I like the mental challenge to disengage it as soon as I get wet. It gives the fish more of a chance to not end up on my plate.
I have never lost a fish to a safety and agree with others that cocked and un-cocked guns can be a potential injury to your self and others. I'll comment more in the next few days...off to work.
Cheers, Don
