    I deleted the original Riffe sale thread Kelsea put up.


    They are not sponsors of Spearboard anymore. This year as never before, I could not even get them to respond to numerous e-mails, a fedex, and phone calls in past months. I had thought they were in the past very professional about responding to business queries. But, this year was different.


    Yes you asshole, probably because they see thru your bullshit and are tired of your strong arm tactics to compell sponsors to buy ad space on your pathetic board. Sooner or later your house of cards will crumble you pathetic queer mfer. F you.


    I explained to kelsea - Why should I allow Riffe through Team Riffe members to promote when other sponsors pay to do so? It is not fair to them. Believe me the other sponsors do take note and complain to me.

    Kelsea said she would let them know. I heard nothing back from anyone.


    I said hello to the Riffe family at the DEMA trade show in Orlando recently in my typical very friendly fashion (READ: FAKE ASS ). I was only able to have a brief conversation with Jackie and she told me they are not happy with Spearboard, but it was not clear exactly why BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!! SHE TOLD YOU EXACTLY WHY. IT WAS BECAUSE YOU ARE A PUSHY MONEY GRUBBING POS, A DRAMA LOVIN QUEEN, A SELF PROMOTING SCUBA TARD. I HOPE OTHER SPONSORS SEE THRU YOUR BULLSHIT.


    As you well know I try to allow free speech in compliance with our rules and maybe they felt someone had unjustly criticized Riffe. But, if that was the case, I was never made aware of the issue by anyone.


    The sad thing is that the cost of sponsorship is very low while the value of being a sponsor is very high. The companies that have banner ads on the front page or rotating at the top or Blue Screen Name designations realize this very well. They pay for those marketing rights through prize donations or cash and rightfully take offense to major companies that try to benefit from spearboard for free.


    This sale was a lost SB promotional opportunity for Riffe in my view. But, they must not see it that way.

    The Riffes don't need that Shite hole to continue to prosper, all one needs to do is travel the world and see how deeply embedded the Riffe products are in any place that has a buck to spend. Long before SB was around a solid product line and friendships were made.

    The thread is closed now. It's curious how zenspearo always closes threads. In the 2nd to last post Ralphthehalibut nailed it, it is fair to run a board with those rules. But the grogan only plays by his own rules as long as it's convenient for him. The facts are:
    1. When it comes to businesses the grogan is against like Pursuit, not even members who are not affiliated with the business can post positive comments about the company, or mention it at all. If they do the posts are deleted and the member threatened. By doing this the grogan is controlling/withholding information that may be useful to the spearfishing community. It's reminiscent of 1984/big brother. The grogan forgot or never understood that without the members a board is nothing.
    2. Mako, a spearboard sponsor is protected and negative comments about mako deleted.
    3. The grogan pressures businesses into sponsorship.

    That's your right not to support the companies that advertise on SB.
    I believe it's a little extreme (and a little Grogan-ish) to boycott a company due to his advertising dollars being spent on a site that is owned by someone you dislike. A lot of these sponsors are good companies with quality products that support the diving community and deserve our business.

    Very well put. As a result of how large SB is, many companies turn to it as a easy way to reach a lot of divers. Regardless of your feelings towards SB this community should not fight itself. Jeff (Tinman) and Phil Herranen are some of the most helpful, informative and beneficial people in the community. I wish both spent more time here.

    pfft.. I would never ever want to be known as a sponsor of SB and a contributor to the grogan. I love it when guys mention my stuff on spearbored of their own accord, but I would be embarrassed in front of my fellow spearos to be known as someone affiliated with SB. Kudos to Riffe in this regard. And to the rest who feed the grogan.. :stinkyfish:
