Thanks guys, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed being with you guys in such a beautiful place. Bringing a few of the Bottom Scratcher's guns home to where it all began was something I wont forget. What a great day I had, that group of San Diego Freediver's and friends made me feel like family. That was my first time on the sand at Children's Pool and I can now say I support your efforts of shared public access 100%. Thanks for the great fresh fish and deserts, every one did a amazing job putting it together. I really look forward to diving with you guys this spring.

+1 for Don Paul! What an amazing guy with a true passion for the ocean. He is a gentleman and wonderful representative of the sport. The gun collection is amazing and the history is astounding. If you ever get the chance to hang out with Dom or see his gun collection.... Drop everything and do it! His stories are inspiring! Thank you for being there!

Don I still remember your talk at the james and joseph event in sd last year, amazing stories. You should think about doing a book or at least a blog, I live for reading stuff like that

Thanks Spearhunter, what really make's it for me is the San Diego guys are well represented by quality clubs like the San Diego Freediver's and Los Pisoleros and their deep appreciation of the history and gear of our forefathers. I could feel Jack, Wally, and the clan's love for the sea transcended to the divers around the fire. How many years have men gathered around a fire watching the glow of the embers as the scent of cooked fish and wood curls from the flames and into the nostril ? It is primal and even our opponents sense's will have a memory that we are hunters. Some let others do the harvesting and dine from plastic wrap. Let me die eating what I catch, standing around the fire with guys like you.

Don is a true living legend. Glad you all had the opportunity to hear some of his wisdom and stories. He is a great guy to dive with.

don is the friggin man. ive been telling people for years, but you really just have to meet him in person to understand. don, call me if you want to dive later this afternoon or tomorrow mornin. theres some schoolies around, and lobsters everywhere in laguna beach. apparently theres not enough for the green party though, cause we only have 10 days left to dive it....

I would love to have a couple beers with Don.
