Those are some good videos. I will have to try that next time. Are these pelagic trigger fish or reef triggers?

The pics are ocean trigger fish. The vids are grey trigger fish, or I can't tell in the first vid. I've seen small greys on the reef. Ocean I always see in mid water or higher in deeper water.

N Don't cut across the fish, you can peel it all the way to the mouth. If the peeling's hard you can use the knife and roll up the skin in it away from the tail.
That's what I was trying to explain. That's how Doc showed me to do it.

They look to be different species from the Hawaiian black trigger fish we call hoggies (they grunt when you catch them) Biggest trigger fish I have ever seen are in Thailand and they are very aggresive. I will have to try them one day.

Yep cubera, only in 30 ft of water in a huge cave was a real team effort. i spotted, buddy got first shot in tail she kicked up so much sand had to wait a good 3-5 minutes for it to settle. dove down noticed he was all the way in the back from the initial entrance. swam over the cave to the other side and his face was right up in the hole, i put the stone shot right thru the head(Aimrite Carbon 110?). i came up, my buddy went down pushed his gun (old Cressi pneumatic) thru and pulled it out the side i shot em.
Yesterday, All the way south of elliot, Also bagged 4 hogs, 5 mangroves, 1 lion, 2 black grunts(margates?) not pictured.
My buddy got the cuda didn't go all the way thru so i quickly sped over and got the second shot in him. Me and my buddy hopped in at a spot and right below was this jack and another, my buddy quickly dove n i followed with good distance in hope to get the second one swimming away. my buddy shot and stoned it, cold. At first the other one didn't have a clue what happened, as i engaged he quickly learned up and was outta range before i could close the distance. The mac is my biggest mac to date he was the alpha male of the school. I wasn't even paying attention dropping down when i hear my buddy making the sound to look, i looked n saw maybe 20-30 mac's coming head on. luckily they decided to drop under me instead of the wide loop I'm used to. I didn't hesitate the biggest one was in the lead lined him up before he could start his dancing game i took a shot thru the top/side of his head. My buddy came up n took a second shot to make sure we had him.
All in all great day out there with vis top to bottom in 65ft. with 1/2 foot waves.
