Any PV vis reports?

  • I heard this viz was poor on Sunday from a friend who went out but with this weather its up in the air. I might head out this week too if I can swing it.

  • I was out on Saturday. just So. of Flat Rock. 6ft. Vis. max didn't clear down to 35'.
    Hope it's better next time.

  • My week fell apart :frustrated1: I went from planning on diving Tue, Wed, &Thur. to Wed & Thur. then down to just Thur. and now thats probably not happening either. A week off and the only time under water was in the shower :(

So Don when spearing duckys in such clear water do you prefer a float line or a reel? Also do you prefer a 1 or 3 MM suit? I don't see much structure so would you consider this blue water hunting? Are carbon fins a must in a situation like this? :laughing3:

  • Just go. Don't make the decision based on someone elses report. You will miss out. The visibility in PV is extremely variable by location and during the tidal swings.

Spot on Mike, it reminds of watching TV weather and canceling biking, running and swimming based on what they say...
