Very nice work DP.

Thanks mate, the transom on this one is rated for 310lb,without the extra reinforcement I have for The Avon CRRC, the Zodiac FC 470 is rated to 280.
I have seen a image of one with twin 35hp Johnsons .
Cheers, Don
I could not find just the right cleat for my Port transom, so reworked a chunk of 356 Al I had and secured it with 5/16 hardware.
My next shipment of fresh Weaver two part glue came in so I finished reinforcing the bow roller area with ribbed nylon/rubber at the nose. Filled in the two gaps with black 5200 that will be sanded to blend in the seams after the 7 day final cure. The bow roller is set straight but the camera is angled.
Cheers, Don
Last one, the wrinkles on the starboard are because I dropped the hull pressure to 1PSI. things will tighten up when I raise it to 4.5 PSI after the glue has cured.
Cheers, Don
Wow don. That looks very heavy duty! Confidence inspiring
Don , you really like 5/16 , nice work man :thumbsup2:

Sorry for the slow down guys:( but i have excuses
1. Marriage, now that I'm on the treble hook, the wife wants more walks on the beach at sunset and more romance to boot.;)
2. Baseball with my boy, his team finished 1st and is now going to Tournament of Champions and All Stars.:thumbsup2: then high school baseball camp starts.
3.Health issues, not going to go there as I might want to bounce/body guard again some day.;) I'm all right now, but not as good as I once was.
4. Dog ate the camera.;).... This thread is worthless with out pictures.:D
In the mean time here is that old broken Jabsco searchlight with a fresh rebuild. Primed it with Bulldog adhesion promoter then the Awlgrip black paint. It now goes up and down and all around.:thumbsup2:
Once I get another camera, I'll bring you guys up to date with progress, but no it's not in the the water yet.
I'm going to start a fuel fund so I can go on someone else's boat in the mean time.
Cheers, Don
Today was a total GoatFleck..:(
The old lady my lovely wife befriended and drives to the store and bank broke her hip, then her sister in law had a heart attack.:(
So I headed to the garage to clear my head..... and two part glued my console weather strip seals in backwards.:(..... realized I am not magnificent... I do make mistakes. ( god I hate saying that)
Heading for the freezer and that sweet Polish nectar with the Bison grass.;)
Cheers, Don
PS Thank god a don't have camera to record my F-up.;)
Oh no don!! How big a deal is it to remove the striping

One side is done, will get the other one @ lunch.
Cheers, Don
Sorry Don, hope both the ladies are ok.
I came across a very similar boat in the kelp last week. Very cool ride. Looked extra stealthy breaking through the fog.
sorry to hear about your family Don . A broken hip would hurt like hell . But if the worst mistake you made was gluing something in backwards after those events , you're doing pretty dam good man . Wish you and your family all the best . :thumbsup2:

Thanks buddy, Irene ( the elderly friend of my wife) had surgery at Hoag hospital yesterday and is doing better. Mandy's sister in law had a triple bypass, we're are praying for her. I can't wait to finish my boat so I can get back to ''my'' church in the shimmering blue .
Cheers, Don
Dug deeper into my bits and found a better seal, going forward again.
Cheers, Don
If I just would have been happy sitting on the tube and tiller steering a 50HP 60miles round trip to the island I wouldn't have to be completing all this wiring.;)
Well every thing tests out, the trim tab pump is bled. Just need to wire tie and wrap the little snake pit in the port corner and finish the poly spray cover. This will shield the wiring if I have to open the clam at sea.
Cheers, Don
Very Nice work Don.
Very smart to be redundant with the waterproofing. Even if just to protect you from moisture that gets in as humidity. That accelerates corrosion and such. I am sure you are well aware of that.
Capital idea and stellar execution. As usual
