Dives are too few and far between these days. This time it took a visitor driving from a long way to get me to skip work. We had a great day, shot some nice fish-lost and missed a few others....same old story. Water temp felt downright hot at 72*, vis 5-15 depending on the spot. Biggest fish 36 1/2" X 15" girth. Didn't have a scale or batteries in the underwater camera, just getting rusty I guess. Here is Kasey with the Stringer, not bad for a first time Pike hunter:thumbsup2: Note: first timers fish with the hole in the guts :laughing3: First dive with a new Buddy and had a blast.
Got out Again...

What does pike taste like? Can you compare it to a saltwater fish, is it bony?
-
Its nice white fish with good flavor, you just have to fillet the y-bone out correctly and it is not bony. If you dont, its a nightmare

What he said.
I would compare it to hogfish to a Florida guy. I make cheviche out of most of them. White and flaky. -
Wow. That sounds amazing
Nicely done
