Thanks guys. I never see cudas either. Even this one I didn't see till it was dead. I was chasing down the hog fish and I came back to find frank with it already shot.
Heres another cool B+W Pic of frank.

I can't believe that turtle let you get so close!!
I also like the pursuit logo peeking out -
Yea I saw a baby one before that that wasn't so eager to let me get close.

Yea the larger ones always seem to be more docile. I think I saw the same one and he bolted off immediately.
Heres another pic of that other one from the GoPro/instagram

I love the composition and lighting on that image.

Cheers, Don

Got out today off Hollywood with a Speardiver forums crew. Me, Hardline, LunkerBuster , and Shallow Runner on my dads boat with my dad captaining and my brother on beer drinking duty.
Viz waves and wind weren't great but doable. A very silty top to bottom viz on the second reef. And big North swell topside.
Still I think a great day was had by all. Everyone got fish. We ended up with 3 hogs, half a dozen schoolmaster/mangrove snappers, and a couple of triggers & big margates.

Sounds like you guys had a great day, thanks for the report.

Had a great time in the water today. The surge was insane. Literally fish were flying around getting tossed about the reef. At one point, I was doing an aspetto and had positioned myself at the top of a four foot ledge. I was trying to time the surge so fish would be pushed towards me when I actually popped over the ledge. Well I waited too long and the surge was so strong it turned me around and flipped me over.
Saw a lot of fish today. Big schools of bait and large bio mass in general.
-
I forgot to mention the insane surge that got worse as today went. It had us and the fish moving like 20 feet back and forth under water. I missed a bunch of schoolmasters while getting thrown around on top of a reef full of em. I'd almost line up the shot and then suddenly were flying.

Too tired to do a full report tonight, but had a pretty nice day off North Miami today. Conditions were pretty nice and should only be better tom. But for now I will post two of the coolest pictures my gopro has ever captured

Jealousy doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. Such a cool experience..
-
those photos are seriously awesome

-
alright red-chief! Did Jeb and hardline get to see it too or were u the only lucky witness
-
He was super friendly. Me Frank Job and Xan pretty much hung out with him for like 45 minutes although Judah was actually trying to spearfish too. Dan was recuperating on the boat after hunting his big doggie.
At one point Xan gave it a high five.
