Southern California Spearing

  • Hello, all! I'm somewhat new to the game, at least on the West coast. I started freediving after going through a lot of related training in the military, and a friend got me into spearfishing soon after. I fished primarily on the East coast for a few years, moved back to Los Angeles, and now, after a 2 year hiatus, I have got back into spearfishing as well as competitive cycling.

Come Spring, I will be frequenting La Jolla, PV, Malibu, and Santa Barbara if anyone needs a dive buddy.

I'm 26 years old and reside in Long Beach.

  • Welcome, Since you're in LB, the Long Beach Neptunes have a meeting tonight at 7:30. Good chance to meet other spearos. Me-N-Ed's pizza on Paramount Blvd.
