I got the white edition for Christmas. It is my first gopro and I don't know much about them yet, is it sufficient for a beginner or should I return it and spend the extra money on a silver or black? I don't plan on doing any crazy slowmo professional videos mostly just showing family what it is I do, and why I love it. Thanks guys.
P.S. Dan- my dad wants a black and head/helmet strap so I will be in touch in in a couple weeks.
If I am not mistaken the white is on par with the original hero. The silver is on par with the hero2, and the black edition is the black.
In my opinion the hero/white does a pretty good job (i still have a hero) esp if you arent trying to "go pro" lol. But the silver and black does seem to offer some good improvements especially in low light shooting performance. Reefchief is right on. It depends Mike, I would return it and get at least the silver.
agree with dan, if i were you i would return it to get the silver at the least.
or you can return it and buy a regular hero 1 and save yourself some money.
If money is not an issue than go with the black...the capabilities are great and as you start to use it more, you will most likely want to start expanding your shooting options.
