When Cain was knocked out by Dos Santos, he came from a knee and shoulder injury that kept him off the mats for almost one year. This UFC was different though. Cain was already showing his real level, he destroyed Dos Santos and pounded him as a freight train. Much respect for both fighters.

I had a house full of family and kids last night and missed the fight. I'll have to wait till it hits the reruns.
I like Cain, always brings it.Cheers, Don

HE´s an awesome striker and wrestler. I Liked very much the way he beated up Lesnar. He is allways respectful and doesn´t talk trash. A true gentleman. Same as Dos Santos.
Great to hear you had a great family time Don.
Happy New year!

Thanks buddy, it's been a good week.

Yes, it was -
Hahhahah, there are plenty of those around.

That was one of the best UFC fights ever
I love how humble Cain is In victory
I hope he kicks Overeem's as next
-
He will Joe, Mark my words, he will (I hope too )

Congratz on your countrymans win monster. It was a great fight. Nothing fancy or too technical, but unrelenting pressure from Cain, and a lot of heart from both men.
-
Thanks Dan, I really like the mind set of Cain, true grit, true gameness. Is so difficult to achieve a mental state like that, cause we are prone to avoid physical injury and contact.

It depends on whether the fighter has the physical tools. If he were not able to affect the opponent, the fighter would get discouraged. It always depends on the opponent. That's why it's always shocking when a seemingly unbeatable fighter is defeated by another with a different set of skills. There have been very few "universal" type fighters. One of them I think is Fedor. I wonder how Fedor in his prime would've done against Cain.

I'm a huge Cain fan.. so many fighters out there talk talk talk, Cain takes care of business. I look forward to a third meeting with JDS, those two guys really put on a great show. I started paying attention to mma around 2005, when Fedor was the big thing. In my oppinion, his prime was 2006-09, not a single decision.. all submission/KO/TKO. I honestly don't think I could make a prediction on a Cain vs. Fedor in his prime.. they're both so well rounded and ridiculously strong. One thing is for certain, it would be a hell of a fight and I highly doubt it would end in a decision, especially if it was a 5 round title fight.

FEdor Emilianenko is a MMA god. He´s probably the most well rounded fighter of all times. I think ame as Nate, a fight like that would had been a draw or won by decision by either fighter.
-
Bump for you Monster. Another one for Cain's highlight reel..
-
HE destroyed Dos Santos and previously Silva, luckily for Silva in the rematch he only lasted a few seconds. Velazquez is a freight train. Thanks Nate, very proud of him

Canin is the new Fast and Furious.:thumbsup2:

I liked the Dos Santos and Velasquez fights. I haven't been following the UFC for a few years. It seems to me the general style shifted to more striking less grappling?
I really don't like Bruce Buffer's style of announcing. He took it to a new irritating level with the screaming in this UFC. A fight announcer shouldn't take the focus away from the fighters to himself with stupid antics.

What about he sporting a purple tux for the big night? Hahhaha, it was hilarious to say the least.
