Hoy quería compartir con todos vosotros esta espectacular imagen del año 1975 en Barbate. Este atún tan espectacular pesa 845 kg y fue fotografiado por Fernando Rivera.

Bluefin tuna in Spanish is called "atún rojo" (red tuna) because of the meat color. They have either red tuna or white tuna.
Impresionante foto Ramón! Parece un camión :@

It's amazing they can be held up by tail for that type weight. Doesn't really make sense to me, but lots of pictures of them being held up like that.
-
But...... would you shoot it?
-
I would [emoji6]

Yep I would shoot it and hook the gun to George, and operate Camera

LOL, Bleeding sure does help for most game.
I'm just amazed at the tensile strength of the tail section attached to the body. For such a small cross sectional area to hold up the HEAVY Poundage of the body is just amazing.
What you get with some nerd engineers thinking about it.
I guess it's all about how powerful the fish is to swim in the first place. The Creator of that BF tuna design did an amazing job....

Gives the creator the nature of wisdom to perfect their creations with time

you may observe on this 900lb bf tuna tail pics: the last vertebra which take part to the tail. the vertebra diameter is 6 cm!

Thanks for the Pictures and education.
I got a PhD Marine Biologist bud, I think I will send him this link and see what he says...
Interesting you still got the Tail of that big fish. What are the final plans for it?

It was shown that on the rack(the torture device) that the bones would crack/break before the ligaments and tendons would. I would assume the same is true for the tuna, especially considering the spine of the tuna is directly Connected from head to tail.
