Almost done, just need to rig her and 3m 5200 on the guild rail, Then I'll take final pictures before wet testing.

observe you changed the line release setup...

Yeah, I was originally going to leave it stock, but changed it to a resetting one on the right side.
I made a part to allow searing of the shaft with out having to push down the tail of the shaft into the sear box as well.

I just noticed something I should comment on: Some of you may notice the excessive wrapping of shoe makers twine on my wish bone. When I use these ''finger remover'' :@ type wishbones, I found I can get better purchase/grip on the band set with this method. I use acetone and a tooth brush to remove the wax after the band is tied.
So....:)
I can now work on gluing down the track and watching me Pats kick ass at the same time.
Mixed some micro balloons with some Gflex, sanded the barrel with 40 grit for glue keying.
Now this bitch wants to know ''when are you going to make a deposit''? .....in the freezer:D
.Cheers, Don

What is the advantage of using "finger removers" with sharkfins? Line of sight?
Don, you're a guru :thumbsup2:

Yes, I have never liked a lump of rubber blocking the long plane of the shaft sight, nor the uneven band load unless the band legs are positioned on the shaft, pulled perfectly.(Cordage bridles/wishbones) Once I get used to how this gun shoots, it will then be point and shoot, leading up to that point,I Will be aiming.

Nice work Don!:thumbsup2:
Rigged the 7.mm shaft with Momoi 300# green. Just need to do a Carbon GoPro mount before the spring.
She's ready to do some beach diving.
Cheers, Don
Last ones.
It is a unique speargun :thumbsup5:
Just noticed I left the rubber ring of bike tube used to hold the shaft in place prior to mono stringing. Cutting it off now before I forget.
Cheers, Don
Just returned from the pool swimming around with the C4, in fresh H20 she floats (spear out) holding her nose 6'' out of the water. With the spear in she turns on a dime ...very effort free tracking horizontally, I'm going to like this gun, fits like a glove.
Sorry no pics;)
PS...A little humor: I'm looking at the sight profile and i spy a set of keys with a electric FOB and say to myself...I bet those are Flecked....that guys going to be pissed for sure. Wow that guy has the same para cord braided ring I have. :@ I couldn't believe they still work.:thumbsup2:

Do you ever have problems with this style of muzzle using shark fins? I was using a ss style tie on muzzle on a 120 custom carbon gun. I believe it was spear diver/meandros/ mvd stainless muzzle, similar configuration to your c4. For some reason I was missing shots that I normally wouldn't, using a conventional circular band muzzle. After the dive I noticed my bands (only 5/8") had wear near the muzzle from the shark fins. The v where the shaft rests also was getting hit by the fins. Hopefully you don't have this problem using articulated wishbones keeping the band tension equal, but I personally would only use notched shafts to avoid the afformentioned problem.

I saw this on a open French muzzle with screw in bands, tuna cord wishbones and small shark fins 25 years ago.
I would get gouges in the nylon muzzle at 9:00 and 3:00, signs that the shaft was rotating to the left or right 90 degrees, depending on uneven stretchering of the power band. I switched back to metal wishbones and a new open muzzle (same) and the gouging stopped appearing. The gun had a shallow shaft groove. Even band tension on a open track gun is a must,
