Snapper spearfishing

Cool video

Mutton snapper are a weary fish, well done Philippe. You seem to have a high success rate landing them. Maybe the slip tip had something to do with it. They tend to go crazy and rip off a flopper spear if the shot is less than perfect.

Thank's for your friendly feedback!
I hate++ to lose a wounded fish..
so in snapper hunting I've been using exclusively a detachable spearhead...

Mutton snapper is one of the fish I like to hunt most. However, I would never use a slip tip in the reef.
Nice video. Thanks.

..I would never use a slip tip in the reef.
Why not?

They're around the reef. When a slip tip touch a rock, 99% probability to damage the adapter. They have very small tolerances and will never work well after that.
If you're that good that you don't miss a shot, it's ok. I'm not.

The exception would be using a slip tip with a polespear, there's not enough power to damage the slip tip.

Bravo.. I'm getting hungry now, nice shooting.
Cheers, Dpn

But they also are pretty easily coaxed out into the sandy areas if you toss some sand up. Come on Marco...you're getting old.....hahaha
