The spot yields again. I'm going to let it rest for a month being that I'll be doing some work on my brother's house in the rainforest (El Yunque) and I'll be exploring new waters.
It is a NICE Sama! (Mutton)
Hey Julio, probably we will go out from the south this weekend. Are you in? We have a 25' yola with 2 x 48 HP. Enough space for 6 divers and not much serrucho for the gas.
Marco,
Thanks for the invite but I'll be leaving to El Yunque tonight and will be there for at least a month to do some maintenance as well as plumbing throughout since they stole all the copper plumbing right from where it goes in/out of the concrete! So I'll be watchman/handyman for at least 3 weeks. Thanks again buddy. I'm dying to go out with you guys.
BTW, guys. If ever you want to venture to P.R. Here's the place to stay! (once I'm done with the plumbing). http://www.pr-rainforest.com
If you like Julio start a thread on it, I'm sure everyone wants to know and it will be easier to find in the future for someone who's interested in going.
Any time!
Well, you got my number. We go out pretty much every weekend at least one day.
Now you can go out from Fajardo. Our last trip was to Culebra from Las Croabas ramp. Lot of sharks! Fernando had to "manage" one of them...
Why don't you change the copper tubing by CPVC? It is cheapper, works as good as copper and the don't steal it. Just an advice. But it must be CPVC, not PVC. PVC does not withstand hot water.

That's the plan.
Very nice place Julio, Just way to far from the Ocean!

I know, that 20 minute drive is a killer!:D
Gave the spot a few days to rest and it yields once again! Sorry about the low-res pic.
Here's a better one taken at the spot...10 minutes from the house and a short swim from shore....can't beat that!
What a beautiful fish Julio, a perfect specimen, congrats. That mutton has to be at least 15lb no? Is that a new gun? If you're up to it I'd like to see some more pics of it. Glad you're getting out, weather has been shitty here and will continue to be so for a while. Those little houses in the background look just like Cuba.
Dan,
This is not a new gun. This is the first gun I built upon settling here and it's already shot 3 PB fish! Its's also the same shaft although I've straightened it out several times but still yields a high percentage shot;).
Thanks for the props on the fish. Hopefully you, Rolo, Pantoja and whoever wants to tag along can experience this outstanding fishery soon. Mi casa es tu casa.
BTW, 13lbs on a Rapala hand held scale (with a rusty spring):rolleyes1:.
Thanks, you are as gracious as you're a good spearo.

But really, I would love to have a few of you over along with some locals (Marco and Pucho) to raid the reef and I'm sure it would be a classic outing with an impressionable catch. Bed & Breakfast taken care of.
