Thats awesome. I think im actually going to look into getting a few of these. along with making flasher floats they can be used on the boat for marking a site in current or low viz.

Carrying alot of accessories will get old real quick. When I do beach dive (even kayak diving which i do more often then beach dive now) I still carry a minimum amount of equipment, just what i really need to dive and maybe a few granola bars, water, small safety kit. I cant imagine towing around a board with an extra gun and other accessories Id probably never use.
where exactly do you usually dive?

used to see them all the time up there when i commercial fished in nj or was out diving up there. stupid fish, i hit one with a boat once when it was sunning itself.

50 ft brownies hose for sale with fittings, no 1st or 2nd stage. got a custom hose built, this one can go. in decent condition, leaks a tiny bit at the crimp at the 1st stage end. color is yellow. looking for 50 bucks, pickup in miami.

Guys oscar is a great diver and spearo and a good friend, me and him have killed alot of fish together. He was one of my first dive buddies when i moved to florida. Great addition to the group here.

Has anyone tried using swordfish lights or some other form of flashing lights as part of their flasher? If so any success?
I picked up a fishing strobe on the cheap at basspro for my yak when me and nate go out night fishing in the bay near our place. I may try that next time I send some flashers down. Those lights arent expensive... heres the one I have -

nope. i only know one oscar that dives and he was one of my first dive buddies when i moved to florida. i had my stinky boat shoes on on saturday.... long story short oscar bent over to pick something up when we were sitting at the raffle and i managed to get my shoe right to his nose at the right time.

Ive only shot a few cudas but they still scare the crap out of me when i go for the shaft grab... last one i popped was about 30 lbs, hit him right behind the head and he headed straight down to the bottom and wailed on me good with his tail til i put his lights out. woulda hated to let this one get ahold of me.
