with 2 spring steel shafts?
sounds like a deal.
If anyone wants a practically new Cyrano Mares 1100 with reel and two shafts, let me know. I think I'll let it go for $175.
that's a heck of a deal Rolo.

I've had it for a couple of months as I bought it off someone in SB. I bought it for the same price and just briefly used it once and shot a hog with it. Dan and Pantoja saw it and I'm sure they'll vouch for its condition. I realized that I am just too used to band guns. I think pneumatics are great, but my comfort level with my current guns just does not warrant a change. I've just been lazy to take pictures and post it on the members items section. Either that or I'm afraid I'll be called a hairy ape:D If anyone is interested, just let me know.
Davie,
Can you post your fish soup recipe again in the recipe section?
Sure thing.
I think I remember Rolo bringing the gun along one time but I can't remember the condition so I'll just vouch for Rolo vouching
Rolo I'd like to look into it, my problem is how comfortably I can load it (minus the knee loader contraption)would you consider loaning it, perhaps for a small rental fee, so I may try the gun prior to purchase?
How tall are you. I used to have a mares 110 and I didnt need any contraption to load it. I later added a longer shaft (54 inch) and had to use a longer lanyard ~5inch loop to make it easier though.
Ii'm 5'10"
The way I approach building my band gun is I base it on the longest stock that I can load comfortably. In the case of a pneumatic I'd approach it the same way, the longest gun that I can load comfortably would be one without an assistance bar or an extension loader. In Cuba I remember guys always playing around with the gun length. I wonder if this option is available here because not always do the lengths coincide with the persons maximum reach. What would have to be done is cut the outer barrel and the inner barrel. The only difficult part I see is creating threading and two or three grooves for the O rings on the end of the inner barrel.

If the weather cooperates and we go out as planned on Saturday Rolo will be coming. This would be a good time to try out the gun if you'd like to join us.
