• Anybody catch the fight? BJ picked apart Sanchez!!:thumbsup2: Sanchez had nothing for the Hawaiian. Hawaiians gotta be going crazy,he sure made them proud. Congrats BJ.

Frank Mir looked really good, packed on some muscle, and his striking was crisp.Put Congo to sleep in the first round.
I'd love to see him get his belt back from cock chest.:D

Kenny Florian rocked Guida, a surprise to me. I thought Guida was easily manhandle him.

  • I saw the figts they were pretty good. bj penn at his best. you know that diego wasn't looking good. I think he lost way to many pounds and wasn't confortable in that category. it was really funny seeing the mir and congo fight. mir you talk yo much.........with the french accent and then he goes in the cage to take a nap in the first round.

  • I missed the fight:( Went through 5 straight hrs of oral surgery:@ and couldn't get to the fight club to see it.
I can't wait till Mir figures out a new way to take out the big boy.

Diego has looked really sharp at 155 in past matches... but eating a few of Penn's punches right off the bat will cause you to look off pretty quick. ;)

Almost felt bad for Diego - his tenacity and determination are admirable. It wasn't a matter of a poor game plan, Penn just outclassed him in every aspect. :cool2:

As a huge Penn fan, I am so STOKED to see him in such prime shape. This fight showed so much morethan a quick knockout or submission... I hope Penn continues to find the motivation to prepare and put on these epic performances! :thumbsup2:

  • Nice win by Mir. I'm partial to the grapplers :) I like listening to what Mir has to say, comes across as an intelligent fighter. I'm always looking forward to what he has to bring against the big punchers grappling wise, but now it looks like he's a big puncher himself.

Tremendous determination by Sanchez. He looked nowhere near as relaxed as Penn.

Guida is a wild man! That was some very accurate punching by Florian that finished the fight. I'm sure the blood helped sink in the choke.

  • Now I see it , Sànchez did a huge mistake at 3:38, he went linear mixing it up with the same high punches (1,2,1) combination, that `s silly, it was giving the target open for a plain right in the face. The fight was over at 3:40 IMO. Is interesting how a seasoned fighting veteran like Sànchez could make such kind of elemental mistakes.
