    I just felt that Dan is the emblem of this forum. His words mean more than any other member on here. Not because he makes the rules, but because he is at the top of this social internet hierarchy.


    Personal hatred or disgust, for Grogan seems to be a recurring theme on this forum. Most often originating from Dan himself.


    It's just over the top to me.


    Ideally I'd like to see Dan scale back the hate speech and just present the facts of the matter instead. But that's Dan's call not mine.


    Anyways I don't feel all that strongly about this issue. It's not like I'm going to put my foot down and demand a change. Ir's just an issue that nags at the back of my mind when I think about it too much.

    I did present the facts, you're reading too much into it. I don't dwell on the grogan or go to spearboard, and because I don't I'm not aware most of the time of the current controversies. Guys send me information, probably because it irks them and they want it out in the open, but they're not in a position to post it publicly. As was the case with the email in the beginning of this thread, BTW notice the date of the first post, it's a year and a half old. I find myself becoming a hub of sorts for this kind of information. Truthfully I wish others would man up and post these things so I don't have to. Other than that like I said I very rarely go on Spearbored. This one time I was reminded why I don't, felt like getting it off my chest but didn't want to start a thread, so I tacked it on to this one.

    The Grogan really lives up to his reputation and I don't even know him personally, I signed up for SB last week and my post have "disappeared" some one asked about the F10 and everyone went in there and posted websites to people who had them (not sponsors) I posted in these exact words," Pursuit spearfishing has them for $275 shipped if you use coupon code af10" it lasted a whole day before the post is gone. :crazy:

    My SB account has not worked since June when a guy I don't know asked me what Carbon fins I kick in a PM.
    I told him the SB software would not let me spell out Pursuit, so then he asked me by text and I told him.
    It is really not something I lose sleep over.:rolleyes1:

    I know Dan you did present the facts. You just added in stuff like, " as soon as I click new posts I see repugnant shit.... and ....I believe it gives him a hard on to be in imaginary control of people's lives." That was what concerned me at the time.


    But you know, going back to the original issue. I've got to agree that the panama thread was the worst thread I have ever seen on spearboard. It should have been deleted before it ever got to the second page. But Tony seemed to personally choose to keep that thread open. It does make you wonder what the heck he was thinking?

    It is actually quite simple to know how a sociopath thinks and operates. It always revolves around himself. Remember, you can't spell megalomaniac without "me". It's all about the grogie, all the time. This is one area where he is consistent. I just read that thread and it made me most sick aside from the back and forth between father and son, was the repugnant revelry of the grogie inserting himself as some sort of altruistic magistrate intent on finding common ground in a heated family dispute. It is typical crap for that mother~`~`~`~`er. This is a guy that gets off as he tallies the hits on his website and this type of thread helps the traffic heat up and he views it as $$$$. He operated the same way after a death of a diver who was a very popular member of the board. I remember how he touted his site and the particular thread on her death by counting the number of replies and views. This is who he is. These threads expose him for the monster that he is. I really can't believe how some of you contribute to that place. Anyone who is anyone in the spearfishing community left that place a long time ago.

    I have never been a member of that site(and never want to be), before I ever joined this site all I heard about SB was bad. All of you guys keep me reminded why I never joined over there and so I THANK YOU all for saving me from the headache. I can say that the only times I go there are when google searches for gun builds land me there. At which time I glance at pictures and only read specs from the OP.

    And I found out today that the grogan is warning potential spearboard sponsors that if they they're doing business with Pursuit they will not be allowed to advertise on SB.
