Custom Euro Gun Builders

  • Thanks Don. I really like the flow as well. This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing examples of form following function, that I have ever seen. There are no wasted cuts on the wood. Every cut shape of the wood has purpose.

The gun is beautiful in every aspect.

love the look of the gun , very clean and well engineered . this is the kind of gun i want to make on my next build

Be safe ... Happy hunting .

benthos are also on my favourite list...
check this one out: Exxon Valdez ‹ Benthos
Clean lines and as mentioned just flows....
I'm with Tufual's father... some guns are just a rounded block (with really bad handles)
some have a functional and beautiful shape

I agree but I feel like that Benthos gun you posted would get bad vibrations on the bands from any horizontal movement. It is an interesting looking design to say the least, there are a lot of things going on with that thing! The wishbones spreading the bands looks pretty awesome but I would be afraid of losing a finger haha

  • i really love the cuttlefish profile of these guns ... and i want to use it on my next build but is there any problem with strength ? :confused1:

No. They are triangular in a basic sense, if looking at the gun from the front or back, with the top or peak of the triangle being cut to accommodate the track. With the two bottom corners being rounded off, it makes the gun very hydrodynamic making it easy to swing to horizontally.

  • Am I missing something? The gun John posted has spectra wishbones??

I bought my gun unrigged. I dont care for metal wishbones either, not that I really had a choice in the matter. The gun was unrigged to begin with. I also don't trust anybody's rigging but mine:laughing:

You know I really agree with that buddy. I find I have a few friends, my dive buddies, Dan, mark and frank, who's gear I'd put my life on, but most people , and surely commercial stuff, I don't trust without a real thorough scrutinizing. And then I still don't like it

    i like to spear fish
