• I am a freedive spearo and amateur film maker (not that kind of amateur ;)) from Southern California. Ever since some surfing friends and I decided to buy some polespears and start chasing corbina in the surf when I was 13, I have been completely overtaken by this obsession of ours we call spearfishing. I am also an avid fisherman, surfer and all around waterman. Its crazy how something can transform your life like a passion such as spearfishing can. Some of the places, people, and extraordinary natural elements we encounter along this journey can only be described in the dreams that plague us in our sleep. Its a never ending roller coaster that keeps getting better and better the longer you ride. Its like they say, only a spearo knows the feeling :hooray:
After I realized I was a diveaholic and there was nothing I could do to change this disease, I enrolled in a support group for like-minded people who also suffered from this condition (The Los Angeles Fathomiers). There I met more people who shared this disease, some of which have had it for over 50 years.
I am extremely fortunate to have done some of the things I have and extremely grateful for the indescribable gifts the ocean and nature provides us. As a freedive spearo, I consider myself a steward of the sea and believe you must show the ocean respect and never take it for granted.
My eyes had seen enough things that my words could not properly describe, so I decided I needed to document this addiction in a way that represents the vibes it is composed of. I've spent the last two years producing a spearfishing adventure movie documenting the exotic gamefish we hunt in some really epic locations throughout the eastern pacific. It should be out for release 2011. I am originally from Oahu, HI but call Laguna Beach, CA my hometown/stomping grounds. I have been known to enter a contest or two, but prefer to just have fun and film most of the time. That is until the trash talking begins between my friends, then its game on. :attack3:
Just discovered this place and it appears to be a nice change from the (other) forum. Might actually start posting fish reports again :) Anyways I don't want this intro to sound like an online dating profile so before I say anymore, Cheers :toast:

Here is a a short little clip I shot last season.
