Went to an area that is hunted by lots of spearos, so the grouper and big mutton I saw were VERY educated an I couldn't get within spear range of them.
I did find a Drum and 15in hog that missed prior spearo education, so they went into the cooler
LOTS and LOTS of beach buns hangin out today :naughty: -

Water is warm, viz was good, no rain and not many boaters today.
I only saw 2 shootable macks and 2 shootable hogs all day, that i put in the cooler.
Also saw several eels and turtles today. I saw 2 lion fish in 40fsw but my ET gun is NOT the gun for lionfish, so I'll have to figure out an easy way to spear them -
kabob skewer or garden spike with a couple rubber bands attached to the end. use 2 fingers on one hand to wrap the bands around and draw it back like a slingshot. saw some guys in mexico do this and they filled a 5 gallon bucket in 2-3 hours. cheap simple and works well.

Water is warm, viz was good, no rain and not many boaters and not many shallow fish.
I got in the water late, but conditions were still good for me in my zone.
I lucked out an got 2 hogs before the viz shut down and forced me into shallower water. -
mrmike---thanks for the tip bro

I just saw video of a scuba spearo using almost the same set-up. I think it was something like "Richards Lion Fish Tamer", not sure.
I hardly ever see Lion Fish, thats why I wasn't ready to spear one -
Got out today from 10 to 2 in laudy
my buddy came down from vero and its been so stormy we were stoked to see the flat ocean this morning , and it stayed that way till noonish
viz was prob 30 feet, saw a lot of smaller hogs and porgs, I think the fish are out deeper. -
