Just my opinion but anything setting up DFG or any thing we are gonna do we should do VIA pm's. The enviros and DFG are all over the sites

with the gun thing we can no longer use it as the DFG knows we are probably trying to bait them

Lee and florida guys, keep an eye on what's happening to california. I've heard florida is watching us closely to see how they will go about their own mpas :(. Learn from our mistakes!

What were your mistakes? I think CA has a much higher population of enviro freaks. Attempts to do the same here would/should cause an uproar IMO. But we can't rule anything out and should be prepared.

Dan when that time comes you guys are going to want to talk to united anglers and the watermans alliance as well as the dive clubs down in southern california. I'll draft a list of things this week and send it to you.

OK I saw this thread and read it all, and even followed some of the links and read the articles.... that being said I am still extremely confused about the situation. Living in Huntington beach I seem to be right in the middle of this and its the first i have EVER heard of it.... Can someone without political bias or anything haha explain to me what happened?

How can a privately funded coalition impose something like this without anyone voting on it?

I just saw your collage last night Mike. You sure have a long history of spearfishing in California. I've only been spearfishing for a few years, but I thought I’d put together a collage of what I lost from the MLPA.

My favorite lobster, halibut, scallop, and white sea bass spots are all gone Each of these pictures is from a different day of diving. Today it would be illegal to duplicate any of theses dives below.
