Riffe Euro 130 / Andre Euro 144

  • Two spearguns that catch my attention, incidentally is a video with the two spearguns.

I have the impression that raises the tip Andre spearguns (3 bands 16mm), the shot was very accurate.

Riffe with 3 bands, I have the impression that unless I raise the point, the shot was very accurate.

What you see that I am I missing?

I have never used a Spearwood

Edited once, last by Josediaz: 3 bands Andre ().

  • Im not sure exactly what your trying to ask. If you post it in spanish might have a better time but google translate isnt helping much in this case.

  • i have shot the riffe euro and its a nice gun like ir a lot would like to shoot the andre i had always liked the shapes and lines on that gun i thing they shoot 14mm bands not 16 but im not shure

  • Por favor pon en español tu pregunta.
Please José post the questión in spanish also, I´am not sure what you are asking either.:rolleyes1:;)

El primer fusil es de guia encastrada. El riffe segun yo son 3 gomas de 14.
The firs gun in enclosed track. The Riffe according to me has 3 X14mm bands.

Preguntas si tiene/ se ve retroceso del fusil con el disparo.
Are you asking about recoil in the speargun?

    Please excuse.
The video combines the two rifles Andre / Riffe
    Ideal opportunity to evaluate
Both rifles are very similar (size, strips, axles)
    Both did very good shots
    Both have similar prices
Andre is dedicated more minutes in the video
Andre was the one who hunted, this gives relative advantage

    My opinions:
I think Andre up a little tip when fired (Shot recoil handle)
The Andre as mentioned cacunspearo has details about art, I would add functionality (good grip, support bands seated in the head), this gives much added value
Know the quality of the wood used in both rifles, I can not comment on it
I do not know production costs of both rifles, I can not comment on it

    You think?
    They see something more?

Wishihadgills apology for kicking the English, there is no specific question is to give their opinions, taking advantage of a good video and has the two rifles.

cancuenspearo, tienes razón el Andre viene con 3x14

Marco, I'm using OMER TRANSLATOR (made in china)

    Jose.

PD. I do not pay or Andre or Riffe.

    Texto original:
    Por favor disculpen.
El video conjuga a los dos fusiles Andre / Riffe
    Oportunidad ideal para evaluar
Ambos fusiles son muy similares (tamaño, bandas, ejes)
    Ambos realizaron tiros muy buenos
    Ambos tienen precios parecidos

Marco, estoy usando OMER TRADUCTOR ( made in china)

PD. No me paga ni Andre ni Riffe.

  • The material used to build both guns is Teak. It is a widely used wood for spearguns so neither gun has the advantage in this category.

As Sadot mentioned the Andre guns come standard with 14mm bands vs the Riffe with 16mm. These can be easily changed of course but for this comparison lets look at the original versions.

The Cost of a Riffe Euro 130 = 530 US vs the cost of the andre Euro series 630+ US.

Both guns are known to be very accurate and well made. The Andre guns are made in smaller numbers vs the Riffe guns that are made in a factory. Riffe has a 3 year warranty vs the Andre 2 year warranty.

The handle is more of a personal preference. I personally like the Riffe handle a lot and have never used an Andre gun.

As for the recoil " levanta un poco mas la punta cuando dispara" known as muzzle flip its hard to tell in the video because of how different the shots are. The Andre is fired from an aspetto position while the Riffe is strait down. Also the Riffe is set up with a reel and it looks like the Andre has some sort of break away setup.

In my opinion either gun is a good choice. I have heard of some quality issues with the Andre guns and some people dont like them. I personally am a big fan of the Riffe euro series. I love my euro 90x and have never had a problem with Riffe. Also after having built my own speargun Riffe is the only gun I would buy off the shelf.

I hope this gives you a pretty good comparison. I tried to keep it as unbiased as possible until my opinion at the end. I also tried to avoid the idioms and some of the more odd english phrases so that it would be easier to translate.

  • I would get the riffe. I have heard poor things about the quality of the teak in the andre, too soft. I have seen the riffe euro 130 and actually built a replica to hammer the yellowtail this summer.

  • I have never shot the Andre, but used the Riffy Euro 130 for a day target shooting in the pool. It shoots very well right out of the box, and was spot on 14 feet off the tip with a 7mil flopper shaft. The gun will last a very long time with light fresh water rinse.

  • If I remember right, the Andre euros are measured in total length as opposed to the typical barrel length measurement of a euro. So, the Andre 144 has the band stretch of a 110-115, where the Riffe E130 has true 130cm band stretch, giving it somewhat of an advantage for a long shot like seen in the video.

  • Wishihadgills, very objective your comments, thanks
I had not read anything bad about the teak used by Andre (very important fact)
Riffe Euro Series here in Venezuela is very well received .... I know a great spearfishing using a 120 with sliptip and told me he is the best I have used.

For me a very excellent handle is vital (and Mechanismo grip), I have small hands.

The power band of Andre Stretch 144 should be 120 centimeters, it is not really a 144.

ddonnell, how good you can build your own speargun. I hope to see many photos of yellowtail hammered

Don Paul, I understand you say that the shot was off target?

Very ''on target'' ''Spot on'' is British slang for Perfect, well done. I find the gun very accurate....Perfecto.

  • Jose, I'm not sure if you're looking for general opinions on the two guns. If you are.. Riffe spearguns are well made. But the Riffe Euro has two major flaws IMO; the handle is small, far from ergonomic, and doesn't allow good leverage on the gun for tracking up down or sidways, I speak for myself and I have average size hands. Number two the stock being wider than it is high, when you add to it the stretched bands it increases the sideways profile even more making it inconvenient to grip and carry the gun by the middle. I prefer the Riffe C3 speargun. The handle is not ergonomic but at least it's normal size or can be changed for something else, and the stretch bands over the stock make a rounded profile.

  • Don Paul, ok :)

    Dan,
It all started when I saw this thread http://spearfishing.world/gene…in-colleen-gallagher.html

I found the video the Andre / Riffe.
Here in Venezuela not there is to see and touch guns.
I have to ask many questions.
Seeking to learn Shaolin master.
Venezuela talks to hunt fish, not the hunting implements.
    Your valuable opinions.
C3 power band stretch = 101.5 cm (I think little?)
C3 is the most economical option

    Thanks. :thumbsup2: :toast:

  • José: Tengo un Riffe C3 que te puedo prestar para que lo pruebes (cuando lo traiga a Venezuela).

If I would like to have a wooden speargun in Venezuela, I would buy the mechanism and ask a carpenter to make a copy of an Abellan or another nice Euro.
