55" Sturgill Gun

  • There were already a few in process photos of this gun a few months ago.... Me and Pugz finally got it done and shipped to Key West.


    55" long 3 lam teak. 2"x2" at butt.
    Open Track
    Shoots a 5/16" shaft with 14" over hang.
    Neptonics Reef Mech
    Sturgill Handle frame fitted with AR-15 Hogue Grip
    Mid-handle, with trigger at about 16" from butt
    Oil finish
    2+1 muzzle shape with 3 5/8" bands


    Two wraps of line total 23', rigged it breakaway, test shots were pulling float line.

  • Nice looking gun:thumbsup2:, sorry for que question but the wishbones also look long to me:confused1::).

  • Hey guys the wishbones are 4" long. They are tied with wishbone inserts that let you replace the wishbone cord, so with that they needed to be a just a bit longer than normal so you could use multiple bands on on a single shark fin. With the wishbone inserts the user can fine tune the wishbone length by either lengthening or shortening the wishbone cord without having to tie a new band.
