Well done. Looking forward to your impressions once you shoot it. Aimrite handle.. terrible choice.
-
Are the aim rite handles the ones that were breaking on the wongs?
-
I believe it is Judah. However they've since fixed the problem by not counter sinking the screws. I think Dan's beef with those handles is more their 1911 ergonomics.
Nice work Undersea! I like the camo job and how the bands, handle, camo, and butt all has a matching color scheme. Nice looking gun. Let us know how it performs.

Be careful with how your route your shooting line. It will get caught in the bottom band on the hook or against the band and roller. I recommend you use a floatline when testing, in case the line gets stuck. My first roller cracked the wood on the front where the stainless roller retainer was screwed in, so look at that part of your gun after you shoot.
Please do not take my comments other than me trying to help. Happy diving!

come on Jim, your comments always have ulterior motives :atongue:

I would lose the nuts at the roller plate, as even a projection of 1/8'' can snag a shooting line uncoiling.
If it snags a duple loop, the mono will elongate and act as a bungie, bringing the shaft back at your face.
If your really lucky the line will break first. You could use a threaded axle and buttons head screws.
Nice effort mate, just needs a little tweaking to be safe. You might get away with 10 test shots in a row
before the big OShite.Cheers, Don

I will put a slide ring in the shaft, and charger in the last shaft fin, more roller dont has problem at time shoot ,of course i agree with your comments,.the handle is the new daryl handle ,i like this, mani ferraris was accident and are good cars ,this handle has a bad reputation ,but is the exactly handle for this speargun, i hope dont broke me right eye jajaja.

Undersea,
I found this design on another board. Looks to do a very good job of solving the line wrap and anchor issues.

Hey mens ,i can put some marine varnish over rust oleum?

I turned the right roller keeper to a dual function line wrap anchor. don't know how it works yet as I have not fired the gun.... at least not with loaded bands. The lines do fall off nicely though when I pull the trigger when the lines are routed.
