Hello from manhattan beach CA

  • Hi there,
I've been spearfishing for a few years now, started out hunting lobsters and then figured hunting white sea bass and yellow tail sounded fun. I found this site looking for fin info since I snapped my C4's and want a replacement that will stand up to my style of hunting. I think Dan's info and the C90's reviews are what I may be getting.
    Thanks
    Dave

  • The difference from plastic to them is night and day, you will have to try a set out some day. I forgot to add I also took the Fii 1 class with Mark Lozano last year which was a great class, a few training trips with Hairy to learn how to hunt wsb but in the end I found them when I went out with friends, PB at around 50lbs now. I also got scuba certified this year just to hunt bugs, maybe a few butts too.

  • Welcome mate, Harry is a great guy. I have been diving the C-90 meds in H. Dessault pockets for a few years, they have been bullet proof.

    Cheers, Don

Way to go on the WSB. I would love to take a monster like that. Harry is a cool guy I have dove with him once on his boat. I shy away from carbon fins just cause most of my diving I do is off the rocks and I beat my gear up. I dont want to spend a ton of money to just tear things up on the reef. But one day I will try them out.

I wouldn't worry about that too much man, I don't dive off rocks but I do dive multiple times a week pretty much every single week and that's a lot of kicking off the bottom. they're scratched on the surface but just as functional as they were when new.. Maybe climbin those shore rocks is a lot harder on them?

    Anyway sorry for derail :welcome2:
