Shit, I missed this one buddy. As always awesome work.

Nice. How much did the wahoo weigh?
-
I didn't weight it but my guess is around 30#. Now I bought another chinese scale. Let's see how long it lasts.

What gun are you using Marco?
-
It's a Seatec Snake 110 euro with twin small ID 14 mm bands and 140 cm x 7 mm South African shaft.
-
Nice fish and pics! I really wish to dive in this waters... One day I will...

You prefer twin 14mm to 16mm?
-
Well, I started using 14 mm by mistake. I took a coil of band that I have and cut them and after cutting them I realized that was the 14 mm I had bought for my kids. But as I am a cheap bastard, I decided to cut them a little shorter and give them a try.
I liked very much the results as the shot was smoother with less recoil and the reach seemed to be the same. After the snapper I wasn't able to kill, I did cut off one more inch to each band. There's some more recoil, but I still can handle it.
If you ask me I would recommend you to buy the small ID 14 mm bands. I will buy them again after I have run out of the 16 mm I still have.

I use the Speardiver small ID 14mm on my Wong 55. I really like the snap they have. Jake says he likes more power with the 16 mm....and he's also 25 years old..:D... but I don't think there's much difference power wise. Normal 14s, yes. The amount of rubber on the small ID is about the same as normal 16s..

Are you using the 3:1 stretch ratio or a little more?
Thanks,
Chase

Me? I'm using theshortesticanloadwithoutfarting ratio.
Seriously, I strated with a 3:1, but I've shortened them so much that I don't have a clue now.

Cool, thanks sensei :thumbsup2:

And I keep shortening them as they rot/pit where the wishbone knots are until the bands break in the middle. THEN, it's time to change them.
