Local Fish Table Fare

  • Ha ha ha ha ha! thats great stuff!

    I am so glad I was drunk!

    just what I thought. Things are always better with (a lot of) wine!:laughing3:

    On my instagram feed the Hawaii boys swear that the little tunny is the best out of them, they say the Pacific ones taste differently to the Atlantic ones. Figured that that conversation fits perfectly in here.

  • I will tell you a fish that he has me hooked on as sashimi, King Mackerel.

    Try that if you have not. The small Spanish are good also.

    Didnt eat much raw fish before diving with Ced.

    Best by far is cero mackerel, better than tuna for sashimi [emoji6]

  • Marco,

    I am curious;
    What you are calling Bonito, is that the same fish as the Little Tunny that we have here in the Gulf Of Mexico?
    They are called Bonito here also.

    The Frenchman eats them, but I use them for bait.
    He talked me into eating them prepared as sashimi once. I dont remember it as being bad, but I dont remember a lot as I had drank a lot of wine while cleaning fish that day.

    Is the same fish. You have to bleed it as soon as you catck it and cut away all the dark parts. Very good in sashimi (what is left).
