Hi guys,
I'm Tony from the cold, windy UK I've spearfished for about 12 years or so now and mainly try to get abroad chasing the warmer waters for obvious reasons.
The UK is still a lot of fun, we mainly hunt bass in the murky waters but every so often when the conditions are just right, the UK turns into one of the most beautiful underwater coast lines I have dived
I've spent more time than most on Ascension Island, I run guided trips there with Colin, as well as to several other really nice hot spots around the world. In the UK I sell RA gear and offer tuition, i doesn't pay much but its enough to keep me out of an office job and very happy with my lifestyle choice
My main reason for joining this forum is to find new places to travel to and spearfish at, even better if I can find some like minded people to hook up with. I'm also keen to add new destinations to my spearfishing trips website but finding great people at great locations is not always easy lol.
Spearfishing wise I love the pole spear as much as my guns and think its ideal for those situation where the fish are giving themselves up to easy, it seems to level things out a bit and make things fairer. I got a WR on the dorado last year with the pole and it was great fun chasing them around. She wasn't huge (just under 12kg) but she was a beautiful fish all the same and tasted all the better having struggled all day to catch!
So yeah, hello everyone and I'm looking forward to trying to find some new remote spearfishing spots in the middle of nowhere!
Best wishes to all,
Tony
