RA Rollergun Review

  • I don't know in percentage, but is shorter than the original RA setup since I have cut the bands a couple times where they wear most (at the wishbone knot).

Mine shots dead on. There must be something wrong with your gun....

Are you using notched or pinned shafts? Mine uses notched.

Marco, I really appreciate your input , they welded an aftermarket rest tab right in the middle of the shaft , which is huge, probably that thing " Bumps" right at the muzzle or something. The shaft is notched by the way...

  • Rollers tend to shoot low if your'e used to shooting a typical railgun. Practice with the gun and you will learn how to aim it. I love using rollers, but as a gun builder, I also love to shoot every gun I create, so switching from roller to a double rubber is frustrating. I am currently building a few guns, including a polyplast/demultiplied roller, as well as a fusion roller.

I have high hopes for the fusion design being that it utilizes the band setup of a roller (band movement over and under the barrel/stock, decreasing recoil) while eliminating the rollers downward momentum causing the typical muzzle flip that results in roller shooting low.

Fusions dont utilize the full length of the barrel, however they do allow you to load multiple bands underneath the barrel making up for that loss in power stroke. plus they are much simpler to set up and load than a polyplast/demultiplier (no extra pullys).

  • My RA roller shoot identically as a standard RA. They only noticeable difference is the lack of recoil. I didn't need any adaptation process to it.

BTW, why welding a rest tab to something that must be loaded using an extension? That makes no sense to me.

  • Here's the new video Alessandro just published. He's the one using the RA roller. You will tell me if it works well or not...

  • Nice video composition/editing. Of course great fish.
This video should be in its own thread not tucked away here.

I think it has its own thread, but nobody paid attention to it...

  • Great job Alessandro and Marco, nice hoo and AJ. on another note how did you hurt hand/wrist?

    Thanks, Don

I had an old injury water skying and 4 years ago it went worst when I got injured again playing soccer. I think I need surgery at this point, but it is my right hand...
