P.S. My dad was a bow hunter. He use to get sea sick easily and took up hunting. Dan had asked me if he had started this since Cuba. I thought so, but I really wasn't 100% sure. He has past on now, so it's not possible to ask him. When I get down to Florida next month hopefully, I'm going to go visit some extended family and try to get more info on many things.
I know some bad ass bow hunters who frequent Isla de Mona,PR.Perhaps we should have a rondy there.
My Dad past away in 96 and I haven't shot a rifle, let alone a bow, in a very long time. I do appreciate the invite though.
Didn't even know people hunted on Isla Mona. All I knew was that it was between D.R. and P.R. and that many people have lost their lives in that crossing. Many Cubans too.
one of the main reasons i never took up hunting as a hobby here in florida is because everything here is too gamey tasting. the deer and boar in particular.
second reason is i cant stand all the mosquitos here either, so you have to wear those full net suits in the middle of the summer with ur nuts stuck to ur pants, sitting in a tree stand.
i'd rather be in the water regardless of the above.

I'd be even more happy if all sharks capable of causing me injury were gone. I find shooting wily muttons in 60ft challenging enough.
