Manuverability and accuracy. I would like to know your points of view about railguns, why do you prefer them over other options? What is your favorite railgun and why? T.I.A.:)

Simple, reliable, low maintenance, cheap... Kill fish... More?

What Marco said. I recently bought a Riffe Euro. It has features that my RA doesn't.
-
Mariner, does this make the Riffe unsimplistic? Or do you like the Riffe?
-
This is my first Riffe. I've never liked the comp series, only because of the handle, it's too big for my hands. The euro has a smaller handle, resetting line release(quicker, easier reloading), the line release is on the side(I use reels. On the RA's , it's behind the reel. with gloves it's a tight fit to restring it.) Line attachment to the shaft is thru the Shark fin tab(again quicker, easier reloading)

riffe euro is nice, the handle is good, but a bit on the small side. The 6.5 shaft is useless for most Baja fish tho. I got a deal on a pelaj kanji a while ago, and now a friend has gave me a nemesis. Both are good solid guns, but there is no way a I could afford that kind of money for a railgun. Ra, rabitech, mako and sporasub are nice gus, i wish they had a stronger mech tho. (i mean non plastic) I guess eventually the plastic will give up.

Is Pelaj mech. Inox?

What I meant, all railguns have plastic t.m. excepting aimrite.
-
Oh, ok. I just saw a pic of the mech. Sameole same ole. How do you like the gun though?

I´ ll tell you straight, actually I suffer from spearfishing gear desirability bias, since i now have such a gun, I tend to see its virtues, it really look better and it´s better quality than any other railgun i have ever ran into before, and I have shoot or previously had them all: Mako, Rabitech, RobAllen, sporasub. and I think Pelajs are better than those in many areas, they are sturdier, heavier, better looking and stronger than any of the mentioned guns, not mentioning the handle that is the shit if you have big strong hands Just ask Dan about that. Not to mention they come with a lifetime warranty. Still I prefer wood over rail any day of the week, but those are fun to own and shoot. The performance among them is negligible, no big deal, they shoot straight. Haven´t nailed too much stuff with them cause i use my Riffes 90 % of the time.
The biggest relative issue is they are a bit pricey though. They are guaranteed for life though. Meaning that if you have a failed mech 12 years from now, they will upgrade your gun for free. (if company is still running tho)

An you are right they are overpriced though, but so are most spearguns in the market, as a good friend of mine uses to say, a speargun is nothing but a glorified slingshot. But that´s not pelaj fault. If I had put Pargo or Seahunter49, the whole damn thread would have been deleted by zexspearo

. All guns are overprized including pelaj. At least the latter is better quality and has a better guarantee than most.

I read the whole thing. Criticism is good whether it's considered constructive or not but when people have to make personal attacks to get their point across, that immediately shows their intelligence level.

A railgun that rarely gets mentioned, but it is fairly similar to the early RAs with the green handles, are the Orka guns. When I first learned of them, a typical reef size was under $200. I've since learned that the price has increased, but when I used one last year off Tampa, I felt I was using my old RA 110cm, which I cut my teeth with (figuratively that is).
