Is Ceviche House still open? You Miami guys. It's out on Kendall I believe. It's been a long time.
Also, Monster, Campechana!!!
Uuufffff!! Yummmy, yum, that with a bunch of crackers and some ketchup, and toss there some huichol peppers and have fun!!

When I lived in Texas, we used to fish Bob Hall pier for sharks and we would carry the ingredients so we could make ceviche right there on the pier. Blacktip or a small hammer make very good ceviche, great with white corn tortilla chips.:)
Spearfishing? That sounds like fun

No Monster, hook and line but we did some spearfishing in some oil rigs close to the beach.:)
Also I have speared some sharks here in P.R and it is fun. -
As far as chiles go, serranos are the best! They have a very distinct flavor and on the heat index fall in between a habenero and a jalepeno.
-
I like serranos a lot, a.k.a. Chiles verdes, we use to get a couple raw and whole along with breakfast.

Are serranos big enough for chiles rellenos?
-
dan, peppers grow very easily here in FL

Are serranos big enough for chiles rellenos?
No. They are generally 3-4" long. They look similar to jalepenos, but they are "skinny".

Barracuda makes great ceviche.
Peppers just need sun and water to grow. And the plant is very beautiful; it ressembles a christmas three with all the peppers in different colors.
Just drop the seeds over the soil and watch 'em grow!
