This is the best video I have seen about the ever present dangers from our chosen sport. Please watch it and learn and always dive safely.

wow i dont know how deep is that but is veru cool to see someone with no tank going deep and do a dive like that . very good job :thumbsup2:
Interesting...
:bump:
It's simply amazing how those experts figured out that if you hyperventilate and hold your breath long enough you'll pass out. But I think the really bestest video on the subject is this one.

BTW briefly speaking with Erez via email, telling him about my exprience diving in Sharm el Sheik and asking about spearfishing regulations there, I got the feeling he's not pro spearfishing.
:bump:
Thanks for that. I had not seen this video and while iv read a lot on the subject I still found it very helpful. I have never even met some one who free dives so i feel videos like these can be game changers for the self taught.
Your vid is hilarious Dan
Shame he is anti spearing.

Thats how I felt the first time I ran into this vid here. It taught me the basics in what to look for and how to react if it went wrong for my dive buddy, having had no other exposer to the dangers and first aid responses before seeing this video. I have been a dive master since 1988 but never ran into any information on breath holding.
How old is the girl? :rolleyes1:
good video- straight forward
Shame he is anti spearing.
I organised for Erez to do a free talk to spearos on spearfishing safety in West Oz, and he was in no way anti spearing. I know most if not all of his instructors and students are keen spearos. From what he was saying he has done quite a bit himself.
He has given heaps to the spearfishing community in Australia, including the talk in the original post to a spearfishing club.
Awesome video thanks for posting. Fortunately most ( I think) don't push the limits when spearing, but it would be good to know your buddy has that info in mind if something did go wrong.
Thanks again
So I have to admit that I was going to crack some jokes about posting on such an old thread but I decided to watch the video first. Glad I did. It was mostly all stuff I had come across in other places before but it was a good watch and very informative.
Yes well I'm just new so I got a lot of reading to catch up on all the old info here :thumbsup2:
This is a good place for that Andy. Welcome
