Dr. Craig Petersen in the house. I started diving and spearing when just a wee lad of 11. My older brother took me out to Malibu for may first dive. We used to love to watch "Seahunt" Ya, I'm old (50) Bought my first wood gun from Jay R in the 80''s when he was working out of his garage in Dana Point. My Brother and I got addicted to it and so I became pretty good at hunting Calicos off Laguna Beach. That's where I live now, and its a shame we are about to lose most of it. I have been lucky enough to travel a bit to Mexico and shoot some larger pelagics. Right now I am in recovery over losing the biggest yelowtail I ever shot this last weekend. I strung this fish and unfortunately I still had cable on my gun from a recent grouper trip to Mex and this 40ish Yellow went ballistic and sawed himself in half Thanks Joe Acevedo for the invite here and it was a pleasure meeting you Don at the OOF. Oh yea, I'm a proud member of the Pistoleros :cool2:

Hey Doc, what is your brothers name, did you know Howard from Laguna Sea Sports ?
He was my grouper mentor in the late 70's when I lived at Victoria Beach......Yeah I'm old too ...but it beats the alternative.
Cheers, Don -
Welcome Craig! Glad to see you here Bummer about that yellowtail...glad to hear you guys are finally starting to get into them. May have to jump on a plane!
Craig is also a former world record holder for yellowfin tuna...but he probably wouldn't ever say it, so I will:D
