  • Are you planning on tucking the sliptip cord into the bands? I've noticed that band elevators/separators make doing so rather difficult, resulting in the tip coming off when it's least convenient.

Looks very nice. Looks like you filled the trigger pocket with epoxy before cutting it out again? Was that an intentional part of the construction to make cutting the track and pocket easy on the same fence setting?

I just thought that the black around the trigger mech made it pop a little. I am planning on tucking the chord in. I didn't notice any problems with it when I used it at Cat over the weekend.

  • Zack, another way is to just let the slip tip cord hang in the shooting line grove and wrap the line over it. I have been doing it this way forever. Awesome work dude. :thumbsup2:
Please don't cock that thing out of the pool water.:nono: I like you and your family.;)

  • nice!!! love the handle.

i'm not a fan of the muzzle wings, they extend the bands away from the stock and make the gun hard to turn as well as cause the bands to vibrate while you move the gun. just my opinion.

  • Zack, You likely built this gun with a specific type of fish in mind. As a diver of the LeftCoast, what do you envision in your gun sights?

  • Could the muzzle wings be bent down to say a 45 degree angle. I love the clean look and separation, but I would notice the humming of the bands as Steve said

I really like the gun a lot. Pretty much exactly how I'd want my gun to be

    i like to spear fish

Definitely clearwater WSB and paddy fish. Hopefully some wahoo this summer as well.

    Zach,

Thank you. I recently built a gun of similar geometry and was interested in hearing which fish you had in mind as targets. Again, nice gun. :thumbsup5:

  • You really blew the guys away with that gun at the Neptune meeting last night. Mori really liked your handle, he knows how much work went into it. Thanks again for the ride up mate, good luck this weekend at SCI.
