If I am not mistaken Picasso used to make a similar gun. Forget the recoil, think about the mess of shooting line once both shafts are fired. Specially if you shoot two different fishes.
Forget about mess or recoil, if you only use one shaft and need to work a fish (holdin line, in a hole ...) you have the other pointing at you.
And yes, Picasso has a twin gun also.

Wasn't very well thought out.
The bottom shaft just rattled around in the closed muzzle. Since it's upside down, didn't sit in the "V", but flopped to what would be the "top" of a normal muzzle.
Line release - from what I remember, there wasn't one.. just alligator clips on side. Make a damn side line release! Pain in the arse.
Heavy in the water.
Bottom shaft hard as hell to aim & bottom band stretch was waaay shorter than top one.
I can think of a few things that the gun would be really fun for, but ultimately wasn't worth the trouble for me.

Been wanting one since Victor did that all-plastic one (long discontinued)... but never got around to acquiring one. 
Not sure on favorites... but there are a few that I absolutely know I dislike.
