Thanks Dan.
I hope these reports are helpful to others.
Now and then I look back at posts from other years to get an idea of what conditions and fish to expect. -

Tons and tons of moon jellies again today. I'm glad their sting is very mild, as they would hang up on my snorkel and everything else.
Lots an lots of divers in the water today combing the reef. I only saw 1 shootable fish in 4 hours, but today was still a great freedive yak spearin day
Met 2 yak spearos on the beach that did good and had several fish and lobster -

South of Port Everglades today
begin at 8am--------end at 2pm
wind from S at 3mph---from SE at 8mph
current 1/2mph N to S---1mph N to S
viz 35f in 30fsw--------same
seas FLAT-------------less than 2f
water temp 85F
83F cloudless overhead--93F 15% clouds overheadThe weather was less threatening this morning so I went a little further out into deeper water and got 3 hogs
The moon jellies were so thick that at times I couldn't see the bottom
Saw no macs, no grouper, no muttons, etc, just 3 shootable hogs in 6 hours in the water :confused1:
Lots of big boats working just outside the 3rd reef today.
Got back to the truck and found a note from a long time spearo brother.:thumbsup2: Sorry I missed u bro -
I got out in the old stomping grounds today in "hau land" .. spent a good bit of time in the water shorediving and it was nice to see the old familiar reef. As seems to be the status quo lately i saw very few shootable fish, which was okay as i was testing out a new shoredive rig i fabricated with the help of Walgreens and Oudoor world.. worked out quite well and under 35 dollars. I did, though, spend approx. 10 awesome minutes with a super inquisitive spotted eagle ray on the sand between the 1st and 2nd. It stayed with me and came within arm distance several times.
good time in nostalgic waters and all the sissys were on shore talking about the "killer moon jellies" :rolleyes1: -
How was the vis?
-
mediocre,, actually pretty bad. But i heard it was crystal earlier in the day

seas FLAT-------------less than 2f
water temp 85F
82F 10% clouds overhead--94F high cirro clouds overheadOnly got to spend 4 hours in the water today due to work.
Marine conditions were good, but no real fish to target.
I only saw 2-3 dozen moon jellies today
I just got 1 hog, hope others did better than me -
Moon Jellyfish Warning--normally moon jellyfish have not been considered dangerous. However, in the last 2 weeks or so, off Miami / Ft. Lauderdale, I have seen at least a dozen diver injuries from moon jellyfish. I would suggest anyone that enters the water with moon jellyfish to wear at least a hooded rash guard and full skin coverage protection of some type AND to have some type of jellyfish sting treatment immediately available.
Hope this helps. -

Are there any more pictures about it?

haha, sorry marco. I posted this without any permission, hau just texted me and I like to share his success.
Maybe Hau will chime in

hau brings a rollergun just in case, I don't see a spear hole in that mac which means he caught it with his teeth.... Nice fish. how were conditions?

LunkerBuster--thank you brother. I can always count on you helping me out.:toast2:
Marco--sorry sir. That is the only picture I have of the roller gun.
mrmike--LOL bro. Truth is that I had to swim for 7 hours today to get those 2 fish and the 2 hogs I got after lunch break.
Sorry for falling behind posting Broward Beach Conditions. I got a new 32yr old skinny, beautiful Russian GF that is keeping me very BUSY :bed:
Maybe I can get a picture posted of her with fish or the triathlon swim or bikini section later -
