Broward Beach Conditions

  • 7-18-9
Out the window this morning at 815am
Seas are perfect flat. Not a ripple
Not a palm leaf moving at this time
    Partly cloudy. Good beach viz
    Hope this helps

Anyone know how to or can help me set up a beach cam?

  • Pargo----sorry for the late reply.
Yes, the new place has a beach view, but just from the 4th floor.
I thought that it would be more useful to a spearo to have a beach condition report early in the morning instead when the day was over.
I just thought that I could attach a web cam to shoot out to the beach so a spearo could click onto this thread and see what seas and sky looked like.
I do not want to set up a weather station and as you know I am computer challenged.
I was hoping that there was some way to post a picture or short video of the beach each morning to help spearos.
    Thank you

Me and stevo went out for 1/2 a day. We almost called the dive off as too windy but stevo wanted to go.
Good choice as the seas and wind went flat at aprox 10am.:thumbsup2:
Stevo put a very nice shot on a nice mac. Hope he logs on with the details and the story:D
I just got a 1/2 bag of schoolmasters.
We had a great time on our yaks out on the second reef today before the storm:thumbsup2:

  • Spearo fla----I put my fish in a 30 liter dry bag with blue ice blocks and that bag goes inside my Yak Catch Cooler.
So to me "half a bag"is half a 30 liter dry bag. Most times I don't even count them unless I think I'm getting close to limiting out on one species or another.

That storm over Miami Gardens was probably the same storm me and stevo beat into shore:D

  • At Hallandale Watertower Beach scouting today
    begin at 9am---------------------end at 3pm
wind from NE at 8mph---------from NE at 10mph
    water temp. 84F
    current from North
viz was top to bottom in 25fsw
    seas less than 2 foot-----------3f in 120fsw:0
    air temp 82F PC-----------------88F PC

Went scouting off a new beach today with the Hobie yak, fish finder and GPS
I found no defined reef line like at Meade St. and Dania:(
But I did find tons of big fish with the fishfinder in 120fsw:thumbsup2:
The bottom did not look good, but the fishfinder fish alarm and big fish symboles on the screen just keep on and on for at least a half hour while I circled with the yak. My guess is that they were cobia headed north:D
I just know that I could not get down that deep.:(

  • Keep the #'s and I'll bubble blow it for you if I ever get down there. Unless someone else can get to it first. And to clarify, bubble blow it, not you.:D
