How did it go the other day with that meeting you had to leave early to go to Steven? You never called after a couple of hours so I assume things went better than planned. Did you get some incentive?

scott and i paddled out to jsut before the second reef. you could see the bottom from the surface but that was about the extent of the visability. large rollling waves and some chop, and the wind was kickin pretty good i guess about 8-9mph not too too bad. we worked our way slowly into shore. saw a lot of undersize groupers and muttons, and hogs as welll. several hogs around 13 inches but didnt mess with them. got one jack and one spani mak. scott got a hog, not many prize fish out today.. funny thing i worked a lobster out into the open messin around (i dont like lobster to eat so i dont take them) and a grouper that was smaller than the lobster zoomed in and grabbed it and swam away with it,, really funny to see, the lobster was much bigger than the grouper. oh well nice day to be in the water regardless
p.s also a race boat (like a cigarette boat) went directly over top of me (i was laying on the bottom and ddint even hear it coming) and barely missed scott by like 30 feet. both of us have tall dive flags and our yaks were very cose by, friggen asshole. -

The private posting is one of the major features that this is my FAVORITE forums.
having said that;This is an item that I have found useful for the problem sdeisen and scott had today.
We started using these in the GOM many, many years ago for very similar reasons.
Notice the UW and waterproofing modifications to the flares AND the gun.
This flare will fire: in the water, while a spearo is hanging onto a float or yak
sdeisen--were you afraid for your well being?
In a life threatening situation, it is hard to tell just WHICH direction the flare is fired
There are a lot of possibilities
