pargo---Thank you, thank you!!
I will do my best to get it correct now.
I am sorry I am computer challenged.
I am so old that when I went to school the girls went to typing class and
us boys went to shop class:D
I did a semester of typing class in junior high. I guess by my time they were letting the boys in. We also had family education, boys got to cook too.
Home Ec was the best. good eats.
Steve
Yeah that's what it was home ed not family ed.

Nice Hogs and snapper Hau!
Thanks for the breakaway tip shots guys! Am I seeing correctly the tip looks blunt?!
I just got a spare shaft for the Euro and decided to go with a Riffe Breakaway ice pick tip:
I'm no slip tip expert but from reading what the experienced guys had to say a Riffe slip tip is like the last choice. I can't remember what the criteria are but there are better and cheaper options. I will tell you though that for our hunting you don't need a slip tip. You'll just F' it up on rocks. The RA slip tip is an exception in this regard.
I'm going to try to go out tomorrow [1-24] am. If anyone wants to go please let me know by 0830 or so. I can hunt anywhere from Haulover to Vista, doesn't matter to me. Thanks
hau
It is a threaded back up shaft I bought, (still have the original flopper) so I just thought I'd try something new. It was pricier than I expected! $80 or so, but I can opt to use it or swap out. I compared about 4 tips before I chose the Riffe. It just had all the features that went best with my set up - which just coincedentally is Riffe gun and shaft!
Ugh ... weather is nice - too bad I have year end work to finish!!!:(

Me and Scott are going to meet at the Dania pier at 10am to see just how bad the conditions are and if we can find a fish or two. Anyone/everyone is welcome. I will leave our dive plan in the usual spot if anyone wants to come out later to meet us out there. LunkerBuster may come out at 2 or 3pm.

Scott got some fish, I did not pull the trigger once. Beach surf was rough to get through,
viz on the first [15f] reef was crap, but much better in 30fsw. Today was just barely do-able for
us yakers.
Lost no gear going out through the 4f beach surf:)
Got to yak surf back onto the beach:thumbsup2:
Lots and lots of beach buns today:D
Like Johnny said "We had fun, that's all that matters".:)
Good job hau.
meet at Dania pier beach at 0800am 2-1-9[Sunday]
beach/boogy board/yak spearos--
This is your open invitation at Dania pier beach. Weather is forecast to be crap, with cold air, cold water, high beach surf, low viz, low beach bun viz [due to cold air/low sunshine], small/often shot at fish, high speed boats under auto pilot and at least 30-40 high test invisable mono fishing lines off both sides of the fishing pier to get wrapped up in. Any and all are welcome to join us. Some [the PR representatives] may arrive there a little later. Our dive plan will be posted in the usual spot if you get there late and want to know where outthere to meet us.:D
____
Hau, I made a decent fish broth with the last one, just curious how do you cook those spades?
spearos--unless the 6 beach cams are lying, there is flat seas out there right now. I do not have time now to check it out, but the cams show hardly a ripple out there. Hope the cams are correct so the viz can improve.
TurboRon--- I don't cook. I trade, I mean give, almost all my fish away to mostly Korean/Vietnamese/Filipino girls:D
Last---me and Scott are going up to Florida Freedivers tomorrow am. Anyone need anything picked up just let me or Scott know.
